Happy Holidays! We are officially at the end of the Thanksgiving weekend, which is kinda :/ but it's really all good because now, we are officially on the countdown to Christmas 🎅🏽! Personally, my Thanksgiving was cool. It's always cool to see family & eat some good food. Unironically, that is something we should all be thankful to experience. Thanksgiving always has a way of reminding you what to be thankful for. Obviously, the holiday has a nasty origin, but shoutout to the ongoing generations of Americans who have rebranded the holiday into family & food. Also, shoutout to the Indigenous people of America. Eventually, there will be a president that can provide a sufficient amount of equity in this country for the sins of our former leaders. The Thanksgiving holiday weekend also included Black Friday, or at least a shell of what Black Friday used to be. Here's a lil capitalism tea: Black Friday used to be a special day where companies would provide the people with deals on their leftover & overstocked items in order to get their company out of the "red" & into the "black". However, since people buy so much shit these days, most companies went into Black Friday this year already in the "black", so they really had no motive to provide deals to us. I could get into it more, but I have so much other stuff that I actually wanna talk about. Before I do, I wanna give a quick shoutout to the unsung Thanksgiving weekend day, White Saturday, which is the day where most people have the chance to relax & debunk after the Thanksgiving chaos. On this White Saturday, I got to work on some Thanksgiving leftovers, nap, get some Fortnite Ws, & watch WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 on Peacock. Shoutout to WWE for that super dope event. The matches were really good (my personal favorite was the women's WarGames match) & not only did we get to see the return of Randy Orton, who came back the size of a tank, but we also got to see the shocking return of CM Punk to WWE. That is probably the most significant & shocking return in WWE of this millennium. Not only was it actually shocking, but there is also some major wrestling tea there. CM Punk still technically never lost the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, but now he's back in WWE? There's so much there to unpack, but I'll just have to tune into Monday Night Raw tomorrow night to see what's next. Needless to say, I'm very excited to experience that moment on live wrestling television. Shoutout to WWE for the W product.

Ok, so on to what's really been important to me: Dripperella!

"Dripperella" was an idea I came 🆙 with in 2020, but so much has happened from then until now, that I needed to put that idea on the back burner. It may have seemed like I came into this idea randomly because I randomly posted it, but I've been concocting this idea for years. Under my fashion brand, The Most Marvelous Brand Inc., "Dripperella" is a season-by-season story of fashion. There are so many ways I wanted to start this, but I decided that I wanted to launch this Autumn. For years, I've been learning how to make certain clothes & wanted to provide a product that was good, but not too expensive. Initially, I was going to design something more high-end to start the fashion series, but I chose to hold off on those ideas for now. Instead, I chose to use Printful, a printing & dropshipping company that provides anyone who wants to design clothes the opportunity to do so. They make it extremely easy to upload your designs onto different articles of clothing (hats, t-shirts, hoodies, etc.), & will even fulfill the order for you. I chose to do so for a few reasons, with the main one being that I wanted to show that anyone can do this for themselves if they want. However deep you want to get into fashion is your choice, but to simply just make something that you like is very much possible. Personally, I have goals of finding & building w/ affordable American manufacturers for The Most Marvelous Brand Inc., but for now, the clothes for the Autumn 2023 season of "Dripperella", while stitched in America, are internationally manufactured, which I'm not too crazy about due to the working conditions of the factories in certain countries. I spoke about how I'd like to build a clothing factory under Popstar Realties Inc. in "Dripperella Vol I: Autumn 2023", but that'll come with the subtle growth of The Most Marvelous Brand Inc., which exists under Popstar Realties Inc. as well. Everything in it's due time & I'm just grateful to have the ability to do this. Right now, I'm building how I feel as though I need to build & opening myself up to receive help from the right people. I've been around the block & I know how some of these fashion people are. I'd rather not just mingle with whoever to get my brand over. If you like my stuff, cool beans ;-) but if you just want "clout" or whatever off me, you can go & ask the next person for that. I'm actually working to build my company, so I have no time to be on some of the weirdo shit that I've seen around the fashion industry. Some people will know what I'm talking about & others won't, but trust me; it's ok. The Most Marvelous Brand Inc. is already very special & I'm happy that I'm able to do this.

Just wait until I really start cooking 👨🏽‍🍳

Ok, I'm going to go & enjoy the rest of the last day on this Thanksgiving weekend, Grey Sunday. The Knicks just lost against the Suns, so I'm a lil :/ but we still move though. The Knicks almost had a crazy comeback in that game to match the INSANE In-Season Tournament comeback against the Miami Heat on Black Friday. That was some Lavish & Legendary Knicks shit 💙🧡. Shoutout to my NY Knicks 💙🧡. I'm loving this season & the humble passion that those guys are playing with. I'm excited to see what's next within this season because I smell W, & W knows W 🤵🏽‍♂️💙🧡.

Anyways, thank you for following me on this journey that is my life. I'm honestly just following my goals, desires, interests, & hobbies, so for anyone to just come with me & support me on this journey is something to be extremely grateful for. I'm really big on people knowing that you can follow your dreams as well. It requires work, but if you really want to see things happen in your life, work is required. Some people just talk about what they would do or wouldn't do, & will judge people for doing the things they've always wanted to do, but will never step their foot forward into doing the work. Those people are just whatever, honestly. I don't listen to them fr. Like right now, at this point, I don't have that many followers on any of my platforms, but I'm still doing what I want to do with my life because it's my life. I'm just having fun & doing the work fr. Instead of judging, or worse: trying to copycat, someone else's journey, forge a path in your life that makes you happy. It's not that hard tbh. You just have to be willing to do the work. I know I am ;-). Again, thank you & all support is deeply appreciated. Remember to always claim your Ws & never let a doodledick bring you down, because at the end of the day, they are just a doodledick 🤭.

Officially,

Aaron Taffe, A Black Tycoon

P.S. ATMIX III is coming in December 2023. I'm working on many things, but that will be my main focus in December (along with Christmas 🎅🏽).

Dripperella
Vol I: Autumn 2023
11/11/2023

Aaron T: Hey.

Dripperella: Hey A!

Aaron T: How are you doing, Dripperella?

Dripperella: I'm doing well. With all this stuff going on in the World, I could definitely be better tho 🫤

Aaron T: Well, I hope this can make you feel better Drip.

Dripperella: What's this?

Aaron T: It's the first season of my clothing brand, The Most Marvelous Brand Inc.

Dripperella: Aaron, you have a clothing brand?

Aaron T: Yeah I started it in 2020, but a lot of unforeseen circumstances forced me to focus on others things.

Dripperella: Really?

Aaron T: Yeah. Sometimes, things happen in life where you need to face things that help you grow. If I hadn't gone thru everything I went thru, I wouldn't have been ready to actually deliver on something I've wanted to do for years.

Dripperella: What did you go thru?

Aaron T: Wouldn't you like to know? 😉

Dripperella: Honestly, I would.

Aaron T: Well, maybe one day we can talk about it but not right now. I have to get up outta here soon. Do you wanna see what I have?

Dripperella: Of course!

Aaron T: Take a look! I have two items: "The Most Marvelous Dad Cap (SpiderMan)" & the 'mm' sweatshirt.

Dripperella: Woah.

Aaron T: Tight, right?

Dripperella: Yeah, I love these designs! They're basic, but in a chic way.

Aaron T: I'm taking that as compliment, so thanks?

Dripperella: It's a major compliment! These are cool asf.

Aaron T: Thanks Drip!

Dripperella: I know you have to go, but can you quickly tell me why you chose these two as your first pieces?

Aaron T: Yeah, of course. Well, I wanted to start off my clothing brand with a standard 1/4 zip sweatshirt that includes the official logo for The Most Marvelous Brand Inc., & I also love dad caps, so I just decided to make a special dad cap too 🤷🏽‍♂️. All of the clothes from The Most Marvelous Brand Inc. are unisex, so you can just be who you are & rock my stuff.

Dripperella: That's so cool! How'd you manufacture these?

Aaron T: For now, I'm using an external print-on-demand company named Printful. They make it extremely easy for someone to upload their designs onto clothes & can even provide drop-shipping services too.

Dripperella: That's really so awesome, but I have a question. How do you know that someone won't steal your ideas & make these clothing designs themselves.

Aaron T: 1) Someone definitely already tried 🙄(#loser), 2) These designs are copyright-protected, & 3) Imitation is one of the greatest forms of flattery. Remember when Virgil Abloh talked about the power of counterfeits? I'm not encouraging people to counterfeit my clothes, but if you go to that length to do that, The Most Marvelous Brand Inc. must be poppin'. Anyways, the receipts of these clothes, along with the clothes themselves, are going to be extremely valuable. I'm not too worried about the fake version of something real.

Dripperella: Wow!

Aaron T: If you think you're impressed now, wait until I actually develop a clothing factory.

Dripperella: How are you gonna do that?

Aaron T: Tranquilo, Dripperella! As time goes on, things will grow but for now, I just want you to have this.

Dripperella: Thank you Aaron. This actually really means a lot.

Aaron T: It means a lot for me to give it to you, Drip. Just make sure to wear my shit with confidence! Don't be corny & have The Most Marvelous Brand on your back. If you're feeling lame, go put on some faux-leather or something like that.

Dripperella: 🤭

Aaron T: 🤭

Dripperella: Seriously though. Thank you.

Aaron T: Of course. I'm sure you'll look Marvelous in my clothes. Anyways, I gotta get out...

Dripperella: WAIT! What about all your other stuff? Music, real estate, Windicate Entertainment Inc., Popstar Realties Inc.? Isn't adding a clothing brand putting too much on you?

Aaron T: Listen, they all coincide with one another Drip. As time goes on, things will grow. I'll receive more help from others when the time is right but for now, I'm just getting started & continuing to build. Hopefully, the profits from these clothing sales can bleed into my other ventures. I'm actually very confident that will be the case.

Dripperella: Well, I'm wishing you more than the best.

Aaron T: Thanks Drip. I'm wishing the best to you as well; & remember to wear The Most Marvelous Brand w/ CONFIDENCE. I wanna see you look Marvelous!

Dripperella: When do I ever not look Marvelous?

Aaron T: Good point 😉

Dripperella: ☺️

Aaron T: Anyways, let me get up outta here. There's so much work to be done & if I don't do it for myself, no one else ever will. (🤵🏽‍♂️💎)

Dripperella: Well said Aaron. I'll see you again soon?

Aaron T: You'll see me again soon.

Dripperella: Ok! Bye 👋😊

Aaron T: Peace ✌🏽🤴🏽

Hey! How are ya! Welcome back to AaronPlease.com; the coolest website ever. We are currently in November, the month of giving thanks. It's not Thanksgiving yet, but I can definitely feel that vibe moving around in the air right now. It's crazy because people see the end of Halloween as the beginning of the Christmas journey, but they always seem to bypass Thanksgiving, which I consider to be quite the W of a holiday, providing us all with food, family, & Black Friday. Personally, I feel as though we shouldn't just hop over Thanksgiving to Christmas after Halloween because there's really so much there w/ Thanksgiving. Speaking of Halloween, I really hope you all enjoyed "Halloween Is Cool", which I created as a piece of music focused on percussion mastering & instrumental storytelling. If you really listen to the song, you can hear the progression of the song's spooky story. To some, it might just sound like some noise but I know that there are some people out there who understand what I was trying to convey musically. Anyways, that song is available for purchase for $1 & 🆙 until further notice, similar to how "Eagle Trilliano" was, which has now has been set to the price of $2000; hefty price, right? I know some people may think "Who is buying a song for $2000?" Well, I would combat that by telling that person that they underestimate the value of buying a digital copy of music.

When someone makes music & distributes it for purchase, it is has two protected rights: the copyright & the phonorecord rights. The copyright is the written work of the music & what has been originally created as the music itself, & the phonorecord is the physical format to which the copyright is being exhibited. When you own the copyright (publishing) of a record, you have exclusive rights to reproduce, adapt, publish (distribute for money), perform, & display. When you own the phonorecord rights (masters) of a record, you can print & distribute (for money) physical & digital copies of the record. I put "for money" in parentheses because that is very important. Providing a published version of your copyright from an original phonorecord for purchase automatically protects it. From that point forward, you or whoever owns the copyright & phonorecord rights, otherwise known as "publishing" & "master" rights, has allowed the record to enter the public forum. Once that happens, no one other than the owner can use or redistribute that song for commercial purposes (for money), with the exception of "fair use" purposes (commentary, parody, educational, etc.), which is extremely important in the game of "sampling". However, arguing "fair use" for copyright can get tricky @ times. If you ever want to learn more about how hip-hop, sampling, & fair use, I encourage you to look up the court case of 'Campbell v. Acuff-Rose Music, Inc.', which is a very important case in copyright law. Most of the time, if you want permission to sample music, you would go for a mechanical license, an agreement the allows a sample to be "cleared". However, as seen in the case above, you do not always need a mechanical license to distribute music commercially.

When I digitally distribute music (or write {type} anything really), especially for purchase, exclusively on AaronPlease.com under my company, Windicate Entertainment Inc., I put myself in a position to protect my art from any type of illegal distribution of my copyrighted works. By setting the price of my music @ whatever price I set it to, I also set the price of how much I would receive in damages each time my copyright were to be infringed, or redistributed for profit. Copyright infringement is the trickiest part of making music because it is an extremely layered discussion. What is & is not considered copyright infringement has been debated for decades. However, the damages for illegally distributing or "bootlegging" an original work has historically been set as the price of record itself. I'm sure that if you've heard some of my music, you can hear samples on there. Would that be considered copyright infringement or be protected under "fair use" law? Well, the answer to that would be that it depends. For example, there are songs on my ATMIXs (ATMIX III coming soon) that sample & cover songs, but are intentionally not available for download or purchase, which could be argued as protected under "fair use". However, I have other songs like "Eagle Trilliano" & "Halloween Is Cool" that are fully original works of copyright created & distributed by me, & have a set price. This would mean that any illegal redistribution or downloading of that song would entitle me to damages based on that set price & how many times it was illegally redistributed.

I bring this up to point out a blatantly obvious loophole & grey area surrounding copyright law. The DMCA (Digital Music & Copyright Act) tried to tackle this issue in 1998, but there have still been websites like Napster, DatPiff, Spinrilla & LiveMixtapes that have been able to hurdle over these laws. A lot of those mixtapes that we know & love from the Mixtape Era included samples that were never cleared because they could have been argued to have been under "fair use". Not only were these songs available for free, but those samples were so morphed & changed that you couldn't really make a valid infringement claim. However, if some of those same songs were to be distributed on streaming services like Apple Music, Tidal, or Spotify, they would require a mechanical license to be distributed because they would be generating money. Issues & grey areas like these are the reason why the formation of a Musician's Union is extremely important. The rights of music have been violated for decades, & an agreed upon non-profit organization that sets a standard of mediation for musicians & the business of music is very much needed for everyone within the music industry. Too many artists waive, or aren't even aware of the rights of their music due to lack of information & slight of word. Many of the organizations already in place to help artists don't do enough to help. That's why you see so many artists fucked up in the game; because the game is rigged. If you leave it to the people @ the top to do all the work, you will be @ the mercy of their decisions. That's a huge reason why I have protected my music from external record labels, & will probably continue to do so until there is a proper Musician's Union in place to help all artists thrive with their music. Personally, I feel as though the American Federation of Musicians doesn't do enough to help with the many problems within music industry, such as the revenues coming from streaming services to artists, advance traps, & so much more. I decided a long time ago that I would rather distribute my music on here than on streaming services because the RoI just isn't worth it, in my opinion. I could debate about this all day, but I'm just writing all of this to say that purchasing the digital copy of a song is way more impactful than streaming it. Once you have your digital copy & RECEIPT of your digital copy, you now own a copy of that original piece of art. To me, I think that's pretty cool. It's like buying a Rolex. However, I'm not just going around buying everything because streaming music is extremely convenient, but what if streaming companies go away? Then what? It's all one big mess tbh. An official Musician's Union with proper bylaws & quarterly meetings would solve so many issues within the entertainment industry. Maybe I'm not informed on the diligence of the American Federation of Musicians, but I'm very open to learning more & helping to set new precedences for all musicians.

Speaking of unions, the SAG-AFTRA came to an agreement with the major film production companies regarding their fair residuals & working conditions 🎉🥳👏. It's great to see actors get the equity they feel as though they have deserved after all this time. I don't know the specifics of the agreement because the contract was agreed upon last night, but I'm eager to learn more about the agreement as time progresses. I'm very sure I will. However for now, I applaud SAG-AFTRA for remaining strong in unison & being able to reach a common ground with these companies. These moments in history are important because they reset the precedence for decades to come. Striking absolutely works btw. More workers should unionize against companies who treat them unfairly. It's pretty cool to see actors band together & stand for the profession that they love.

Alright, well I'm about to get some food in this tummy of mine. I kinda wanna cook something, but I gotta see what I have to cook. I'll figure it out. Also, I'm working on some other stuff that I'm really excited about. I'm aiming to get that 🆙  on AaronPlease.com very soon. It's not ATMIX III, but that's definitely coming. For now, purchase "Halloween Is Cool" for $1 & 🆙 (although Halloween is over 🙄), & stay tuned for what's to come next. Have a wonderful nite & day, and Al B. Sure to get back @ y'all soon <3

Sincerely Handsome,

Aaron T. 🤵🏽‍♂️
