Remember 2 Leap!
02/29/2024 10:27pm

Ni Hao! Welcome back to www.AaronPlease.com, a handsome website run by a handsome stud, Aaron Taffe. Thank you for showing up again, & on a LEAP DAY! We have reached the end of one of the most impactful months in recent history, February 2024. When we run this month back for the history books, we're going to see just how important this month has been. I can't even begin to write about everything that has happened. Like Usher performed @ the Super Bowl, Beyonce dropped country songs, NYCHA got raided by Homeland Security, The Rock came back to Smackdown to join The Bloodline ☝🏽🩸, & literally so much more. This has been probably one of the craziest months in recent history. Shoutout to Black History Month. Almost every single day, Black History is being made but this month, a bunch was made. Shoutout to everyone who made an effort to make a positive impact in this World, especially Black people. A lot of times, Black people are faced with many different adversities because some (racist) people, quite literally, hate us cuz they ain't us. All I can really say to that is: "Oh well! Sucks 2 be you! 🤷🏽‍♂️" If you are ever the unfortunate recipient of unwarranted hate, just hit your haters with a shrug & watch them spiral into their own pit of self-despair. I know there are some racist people out there who are extra mad because Black people have an extra long Black History Month this year to make some extra Black history. We do it every day, so don't get too uncomfortable 😉.  Anyways, shoutout to February 2024; it has truly been a great month.

Obviously, today is one of those rare days where we get an extra February day; a Leap Day! I love Leap Days because 1) We get some more time & 2) We can use these days to leap towards the goals we have in our life. We should always use this day to reflect upon what we need to do in order to improve our lives. I've always noticed how Leap Days are always filled with lessons I needed to learn, & it's up to me to make sure I absorb these lessons & improve my life with this new knowledge. Also, using this day to close out toxic cycles is incredibly important. People love to say that this day doesn't exist or it doesn't really count, but that's not really true. I see this day as a day where you can change things for yourself. The only thing that doesn't exist is that thing about yourself or your life that you choose to walk away from today. If you use today to fix whatever you want to fix, it'll no longer affect you. It's honestly pretty cool if you can get into it. I know I can! I shed some bullshit earlier today, & I'm shedding some bullshit as I type rn. I'm taking full advantage of the energy of Leap Day. I hope you are as well.

Yesterday, NOT the last day of February, I did something pretty cool; I went to the ASCAP Membership Meeting for 2024. In case you don't know, ASCAP is a performing rights organization that is focused on getting songwriters & composers paid for the performances of their writing, whether that be digitally or in-person. This meeting discussed the highlights of 2023 for ASCAP. Personally, I learned a lot from being there. I always knew what their purpose was once I learned it in college but after yesterday, I have a better understanding of how hard they work for the artists & songwriters that they represent. They are not only fighting for fair compensation from streaming platforms on a governmental level, which is extremely important for musicians, but ASCAP is also getting far ahead in the fight against AI in music. Defining AI's role in the artistic space is an incredibly essential discussion to be had. AI can be a massive threat to many different industries, but in the music industry, which is already pretty shady, AI could cause a lot of havoc; way more than necessary. ASCAP getting ahead of these discussions is a great service for musicians, & I greatly appreciate the initiative. Anyways, the membership meeting was cool to attend. Jermaine Dupri did a Q&A & it's always cool to see legends speak on their success, especially during Black History Month. I truly do encourage people to go to these types of events & conventions in whatever industry you would like to pursuit a career in. You learn so much by going to these things. The whole experience was actually really dope. However, I did drive to this event in Manhattan & received a parking ticket due to the confusing parking signs in Manhattan, which I WILL take to the Appellate! Something needs to be done about that, as well as the attempt @ congestion pricing for cars in Manhattan. Cars are important mediums of transportation in NYC, & to make that experience so expensive is simply just greedy. It's shit like this that makes me want to check out the vibes in Utah. However, I have duties here in NY, & will continue to grow with & within the state that I love, my home state of NY 🗽🇺🇸

One last thing I want to talk about before heading out is the historic protest of the American Air Force soldier, Aaron Bushnell. On February 25th, 2024, in protest against America's complacency of Israel's genocide against the Palestinian people, Aaron Bushnell self-immolated in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington DC. This was such an incredible act of protest; one of the most important in American history. For an American soldier to put his life on the line to protest against the war crimes that America has essentially been aiding is incredibly revealing. A member of America's military, one of the biggest militaries in the World, protested against America's stance of solidarity with Israel by setting himself on fire in our nation's capital. Do you understand how important that act is? American soldiers put their life on the line for this country & for an American soldier to protest in that manner, it shows how so many of the American people feel about watching the genocide of the Palestinian people by the Israeli government. Even today, the IDF killed over 100 innocent civilians seeking aid in Gaza. This is absolutely disgusting & everybody has had enough of watching this faux-government do this to innocent people. Benjamin Netanyahu & the Israeli "government" will not get away with doing this. Many of the American people find this to be abhorrent & Aaron Bushnell's protest will be remembered in history as one of the bravest protests against America's complacency in war crimes. This protest will be written about in history books & as Americans, we cannot forget the message Senior Airman Aaron Bushnell gave up his life to state:

FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸

Alright, I'm going to go off & enjoy the rest of my 2024 Leap Day. I hope you enjoy the song I selected for today. I had to give you something super rare for a super rare day. "She's No You" by Jesse McCartney is already a phenomenal song about choosing your queen above all the rest, but did you know there was a Neptune's remix featuring Fabolous? I did & I had to give that to y'all because for my website visitors, I gotta give y'all the absolute best <3. I genuinely appreciate every website visitor I've ever gotten for this website. Over the past four years, I've loaded y'all up with homemade music, knowledge, clothes, hidden Youtube gems, & more. From the bottom of my heart, I really do thank everybody who has ever supported me. I could DEFINITELY use some financial support from y'all 😅💸, but the appreciation for what I've been doing is enough support for me tbh. I'm truly grateful for the good energy sent my way, & I send back all the negative energy sent my way (I don't play that). I hope that over these past 4 years, I've taught you something, showed you something, made you dance, or all 3. I'm definitely working on doing more for y'all, & in better ways. However for now, plz check out ATMIX III & Dripperella, because there's definitely more music & clothes to come for y'all, & imma need y'all to catch 🆙 😏. Again, I really want to thank Wix & all of my website visitors for all of the supoort given to me while building this website. I appreciate everyone who has shown any type of love to me on this journey I've been on. Take my word for it; it's been tough, but I'm tougher 💪🏽😜! Remember to never let anyone or anything stop you from achieving your goals in this life. It's your life, so make the best of it.

Zero Is The Hero

Back again!! Welcome back to www.AaronPlease.com; the most iconic website in the history of the Internet. I hope all of the AaronPleasers out there are doing well. In case you didn't know, I've recently passed the 4-year mark of running this website. Honestly, it's a major milestone for me. I've been developing this website for 4 years by myself, while also developing the multiple businesses I've started from the literally nothing. It's really been a journey thus far. I've had so many ups, downs, trials, errors, & victories. If you've read all of my blogs, you can kind of follow all of what's been going on. Obviously, I can't write about everything that happens in my life on the Internet, but so many of the puzzle pieces are there to put together. Over these past 4 years, I've released over 50 songs, went to real estate school, moved apartments twice, lost jobs, (slightly) changed the music industry, fell in & out of "love (not really)", launched my clothing brand & so much more. I've been thru so much over the past 4 years with www.AaronPlease.com, & if you've been with me on any part of this journey, I want to take some time to say THANK YOU!

I'll be honest. My life, similar to many other lives, has not been the easiest. Even before developing this website, I've had to work for everything I've ever had & done. From elementary school thru college into adulthood, I've worked so many different jobs & dealt with so many different types of people that have helped shape me into the 'handsome, smart, & debonair' person I am today. I've been faced with obstacle after obstacle in the pursuit of living comfortably while achieving my goals. In an attempt to innovate in the creative spaces of the Internet & the World, I've had a lot of opposition. I'm not going to give light to that opposition because they don't deserve it, but it has existed. It's weird because I know that the only reason why they oppose what I'm doing is because they respect what I'm doing & want to exert some sort of "control" over what I've been building, but I would never give them the control that they so deeply yearn for. Technically, I've kinda been "blackballed" in multiple industries while building this website. Honestly, that phrase means absolutely nothing. Blackballing is essentially ignoring someone & not working with them in order to make them feel as though that what they are doing is NOT what they are doing. It's an attempt @ gaslighting someone into believing that they are not who they believe themselves to be, but if you don't get your validation from "fame" or whatever, then blackballing essentially means nothing. It's funny because if you've ever played Pool before, you'd know that if you knock the 8-ball off the table, the game is over & you lose. If you understand the significance of the number 8, you'll know that you'll never be able to stop someone who has built everything for themselves. I don't get my validation from fame, money, sex, etc. I get my validation from my creations that God has blessed me with the abilities to create. Even if I lost everything, I would still stand tall & create further. I don't need to steal or manipulate to get ahead. Everything that I need is within me, & that goes for everyone reading this as well. Everything that you require in life to make yourself happy & feel successful is literally already inside of you. Don't let anyone control what makes you feel valid in your accomplishments. If you already know you're dope, you really don't need anyone to validate that for you. I wish I could drill that into everyone's head because there wouldn't be such an urgency to reach for this fictitious "brass ring" that many people are searching for. For example, at this current moment in time, I don't have a lot of followers (yet), I don't have a lot of cash (yet), & I haven't even created a quarter of what I would like to create in this World, but I understand myself to be successful because I've achieved so many of my goals, & will continue to do so; with or without the help of people of "power". Throughout my journey, I've truly learned that power is subjective. Power only has impact if we give something or someone power. Personally, I try not to give anyone the power to make me feel any type of way. Humans are just humans; we all shit & piss. Even the baddest of all the baddies has had diarrhea before, & having that understanding has helped me move forward in my life without seeking validation. Yes, there have been times where I would have liked if someone or something liked me back, but when I remember that certain things just aren't for everybody, I continue on with my life. It's a waste of time going for something or someone that doesn't want you back. Just keep doing you & the things that are for you will come along as well. As for the people who want to stop you from your goals, they really don't have the capacity to do so without you believing that they do. My advice? Just make fun of them. Anyone willing to interrupt their life to stop something going on in your life is a probably just a loser who needs a reality check. I've had people hate me, but imitate me while acting like I don't even exist. I understand that to be mental illness :/, so I just try to give love to the situation. I never let anyone make me feel less than because I'm secure within myself & what I've done in my life. Save that degradation shit for someone who's insecure; not AT 🤵🏽‍♂️💎. I say all that to say never let anyone make you or your accomplishments feel insignificant. Chances are that they are just doing so because they wish that they could do it themselves, but they may not have the ability to do it, especially like you can. I recommend that you keep shining, do the best that you can with what you have, continue to grow, & improve @ your own rate. Don't let anyone define who you are; do the work & define yourself. You'll be proud of yourself for doing so.

Anyways, that lil spiel has been on my heart for a minute. I was listening to Childish Gambino earlier while hooping & so much just came to the surface at one time. I've been faced with so much bullshit over the past few years, & I had to remind myself of how proud I was to be in the position that I'm in. Like not everything is perfect in my life right now, but in high school, I used to dream of being able to make music & post it on the Internet in the way that I'm doing now. I was a "blog era" kid, so to be able to innovate in the way that I'm doing now is a blessing. I know I can do more, & I'm proud of the work I've accumulated over the span of my life thus far. I haven't even spoken about half of the obstacles I've faced on this journey, & maybe one day I'll do an interview about it all, but for now I want to express gratitude for the God-given ability to overcome all of it & continue achieving my goals. I know that I will probably be faced with more adversity & corny shit, because this World is loaded with cornballs, but I will continue to rise above it all, enjoy my life & achieve my creative goals. If you believe you can do so, you will as well. I believe in anyone who believes in themselves with a good heart because I believe in myself with a good heart, & I've seen what that has done for me. Keep grinding, keep growing, keep loving, & the rest will have to fall into the right place. Alright, I'm going to watch the rest of this Knicks v. Celtics game (I've been multi-tasking). You know that's my team fr 🧡🤍. Again, thank you for riding with me on this journey. CHEERS TO 4 YEARS 🍻 (& many moreee) <3

Gyalentine's Day
02/14/2024 11:53pm

Happy Gyalentine's Day! Today is the day where you go & get your gyal (dem) something special, or at least do something special for/with them. If you have somebody to spend today with, be grateful because there are some people out there who will do any & everything to treat today like a regular day, but it really isn't tbh. Today is the universal day where we all celebrate loving whomever we love. It's honestly kinda nice. If you are celebrating with someone(s) today, make sure you understand the value of their time. It's important to acknowledge that spending Valentine's Day w/ someone is something special. When people spend this day with you, it essentially means they value your relationship & love you have to give, & will probably remember it for years to come. That's honestly kinda nice if you really think about it. That's not to say that if you DON'T have a Valentine this year that no one values your time & love to give. Like personally, I'm not celebrating today with anyone special fr. I'm not doing that because I can't find someone to smooch or anything, but I have more important priorities in my life than to spend today with some girl who could be here today & leave tomorrow. I value my time (& my heart <3) more than that. Honestly, I'm spending today w/ my businesses: Windicate Entertainment Inc. & Popstar Realties Inc. because I spend enough money running them anyhow. These companies are really my gyal dem, & I'll do anything to make sure they're alive & doing well. Anyways, don't be bummed out about not having a Valentine this year. Just make sure to value your own time & love yourself, & the rest will fall into place. If you haven't had a Valentine in awhile, I know you're probably sick of hearing "Maybe next year :/", but you never really know fr. #Meetcutes happen everyday, & you never know when you might have one; it could be tomorrow 👀. Anyways, all I'm really saying is to stay positive. You think good things, good things may happen. Just stay open to love & it'll find you fr. However, don't just accept whatever because that's how people end up w/ cornballs. I could go on & on tbh, but it honestly just all boils down to loving yourself. Once you learn how to make that happen, more than just having a Valentine starts to happen. Although doing that may not always be easy, I would definitely recommend giving it a shot. The results may really surprise you.

Also, Happy Black History Month! Before I say anything else, giving us the shortest month is definitely a fucked up play. America is one of those countries that loves to play like that. Like let's really look @ this. The early Americans & Europeans brought Africans over to the "New Land" as slaves in exchange for guns & sugar. Africans, out of their native area, were placed over in the Western World, a foreign environment, as captives to serve the Europeans & White Americans. After years of being beaten, killed & seen as inferior by slave owners, Black Americans became "free" to live in this country, but faced over 100 years of added segregation. Then in 1976, they gave us the shortest month (& coldest) as some sort of consolation for all the bullshit our people had to suffer thru. Seems like some bullshit right? It seems like that because it is. Personally, I would prefer if Black History Month was in June, because it'd be warmer & we could celebrate the beauty of Black History a lil bit more cozily. That's just my opinion though. However, if there was a petition to move the month, I'm locking in. Black History Month in the summer? Idk, sounds like a vibe tbh.

You know what was also a vibe? The Super Bowl, which was on the previous Sunday. The Chiefs beat the 49ers in an OT thriller; word to Michael Jackson. The telecast included not only football, but the likes of Taylor Swift & Ice Spice, which honestly made the game a lil more entertaining. I have to be honest about the Super Bowl though. Over the recent years, the Super Bowl commercials have definitely fallen off. For $7M per 30 secs of commercial time, you would think they would make cooler & more interesting commercials. However, that was not necessarily the case this year. There were a few I liked, a few I didn't care for, & like 4 Temu commercials. Not to pocket watch, but I had no idea Temu was balling out like that. Also, there was a commercial for Kanye West's new website that was shot on his iPhone front camera, which was pretty cool. Personally, I'm happy that other artists, like Kanye West, are seeing the value of utilizing a website as an artist. I'm not saying he's eating the www.AaronPlease.com blueprint, but I'd bet he sees the vision. Anyways, the Super Bowl was fun to watch, especially the halftime show; shoutout to Usher. He's really a legend fr. You never really seem to remember how many hits someone has until you see them do the Super Bowl halftime show. It got me excited to see who's to come next year. Honestly, I hope it's Dua Lipa, because the performance she put on @ the Grammys, which was also earlier this month, was so fantastic. Dua Lipa lowkey has more than enough music catalog to have a Super Bowl halftime show. She's really so great @ what she's doing, & I'm hyped for her new album, whenever it may come out. She's so special fr. Anyways, shoutout to the spectacle that is "The Super Bowl" 🦸🏽‍♂️🥣🏈

One more thing before I leave tonight. As the Super Bowl was going on in America, Israel continued to bomb the Gaza Strip. Truly, I could talk about this for hours but I want to say something short & sweet so that I can briefly state where I stand on this heartbreaking situation. I will NEVER be in support of Israel's active genocide of the Palestinian people. For too many years, they have strong-armed their way into the land of the Palestine. I understand that Israel is using the excuse of hunting down Hamas, a revolutionary group who is dedicated to the freeing of the Palestinian people, but there is no justification for the killing of innocent Palestinian civilians. According to Reuters, as of today, the death toll in Gaza is nearly 30,000 people, with over 12,000 civilians being children. This is extremely heartbreaking. As our current president, Joe Biden is actively enabling the behavior of the Israeli government by providing funds & artillery to them, & as Americans, we have to sit back & watch this country use our tax dollars towards fueling a genocide. Personally, I can't just watch this happen. We all need to speak up & use our voices to vocalize how wrong this truly is. We can't continue to lie back & claim we don't have the information to speak up. The facts are all around for us to read & learn more about this current genocide. This isn't right & we, as American citizens, can't continue to be complacent in this genocide. Yes, we have our own problems as a country, but we can't be ignorant & ignore the atrocities that are happening right under our noses with our tax money in Gaza. The Palestinian people need our love, support & prayers. The evil that Benjamin Netanyahu & the Israeli government are committing will be remembered in history as a disgusting attempt at ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. However, the Palestinian people will rise above this, just as the Jews rose above Hitler & the Nazis, & continue to grow their rich culture further. Shoutout to God & I'm sending my prayers to the many innocent Palestinian civilians. I genuinely believe that these genocidal actions that Israel are committing will eventually be seen as an embarrassment, & a failed attempt at colonization.

Alright, well I'm about to hop off here & do some other stuff. I might grab myself a lil snack or sumn. Actually, as a lil Valentine's Day gift to myself, I got myself a bag of jelly beans & I've been eating those periodically throughout the day. I saw it as a nice gesture for myself. I knew I liked them, so I got them for myself. It truly is the little things that can make you happy. Right now, those little things are these jelly beans. Like I'm currently chewing on a handful of them right now as I'm typing this. It's kinda crazy because now, I'm noticing the purpose of the black jelly bean. It's like a taste palate reset. I gained a respect for the black jelly bean in my pursuit of understanding it's purpose. As humans, we all have a purpose. What's important is whether we find & follow that purpose, or not. Having a Valentine is cool, but having a purpose is cooler. Having a purpose makes things like having a Valentine more special. I work on my purpose everyday, regardless of the numerous obstacles that insist of crawling onto my path. I don't pay it any mind because the purpose is way more important than the obstacles. I also like to have fun on the path of my purpose because fun is needed. The path can become unpredictable, so I like to keep it fun. In the words of Wiz Khalifa, work hard/play hard! Anyways, thank you for reading & I'll be back soon with some cool stuff for y'all. In the meantime, in-between time, check out "ATMIX III" & some pretty cool clothes from "Dripperella Vol I: Autumn 2023", the very first catalog season of my clothing brand, The Most Marvelous Brand Inc. ;-)
